We are chilled, friendly and with 18 years of experience, we’re dedicated to helping you create your perfect day. Our friendly team of wedding experts will be on hand to guide you through planning your tipi wedding at The Old Vicarage.

We understand that every wedding is different, which is why we have some wonderful, recommended suppliers to tailor your day specifically to you.

Administration/Bar Coordinator

Sophie Souter

Sophie manages your alcohol requirement and any special requests. Sophie also does the administration and works on the bar serving drinks.

She especially likes serving shot pallets in the evening to your guests

Owner/Wedding Coordinator

Sue Booth

Sue is the owner and dedicated wedding coordinator she will plan your days’ timeline depending on what you have in mind.

Wedding Event Assistant

Rob Booth

Logistics on the day, serving reception drinks, glass collecting and general assisting.

Organising the alcohol and bar from sourcing special hand pulled ales to vegan beers and mixing your favourite cocktails.

Your Wedding Day is one of the most important days of your life and we are delighted to be a licensed venue to offer you the facility to hold your Civil Ceremony or Civil Partnership. We’ll make sure The Old Vicarage is exactly how you dreamt it would be, because nobody better understands that this day belongs to you.

The Old Vicarage combined with our beautiful grounds makes us a perfect venue for any civil wedding ceremony, civil partnership or renewal of vows. The ceremony can be performed in either The Osbourne Suite, the bespoke oak Pergola or in the Tipi, each with their own unique atmosphere.

Our experienced team will help you every step of the way, including advice on wedding etiquette and help with the legal requirements. Knowing that you are in expert hands, you can both relax and enjoy every moment of your special day.

Civil Wedding & Partnerships

The great thing about getting married with us is that you’ve got loads of potential accommodation for your friends and family.

Everyone can enjoy a longer or shorter weekend with you, but without the stress of lengthy accommodation lists, complicated taxi arrangements (no Uber here), or drink drive issues in an area with little public transport (ie there isn’t any).

Ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends wanting to celebrate and spend time together in the great outdoors.

You can choose between the onsite Luxury Log Cabin, sleeping 6 guests

The 17th century Coach House sleeping 4 guests, or if you and your guests want that festival feeling we also offer Glamping.

We know how to throw a good party here and nothing fazes us. No matter how big or small your plans are for your big day we can help make it happen. With over 18 years in business we know a number of venue dressers, celebrants and florists, photographers and puppeteers, storytellers and nannies, festival caterers and homemade pasty makers, local breweries plus so much more.

We can get you a piper or singing waiters, celtic harp or pulsing didgeridoo.

Or a tiny pa might be sufficient for an elegant string quartet or gentle acoustic set.

One of the first things we often get asked about is the catering side of things. Although we do not provide the food ourselves we have put together a handy list of recommended caterers, street food caterers and vegan caterers you may choose to provide your catering on the day. You are more than welcome to source your own caterers too.
