We will ensure that The Old Vicarage reflects your dreams, as we understand that this day is all about you. The Old Vicarage, along with our stunning grounds, serves as an ideal setting for any civil wedding ceremony, civil partnership, or vow renewal.
You can choose to hold the ceremony in our bespoke oak Pergola, The Osbourne Suite or our Tipi, each offering its own unique ambiance.
Alternatively, you can choose to have your ceremony in a chosen spot on the grounds.
Our Pergola
Our licensed Pergola gracefully overlooks the gentle banks of the River Poulter. Crafted from bespoke natural oak, this Pergola has been meticulously selected from the heart of the forest, ensuring it comes from the straightest oak tree trunks to support the oak and larch shingle roof, complemented by natural Yorkshire stone slabs.
Adorn the pergola with flowers and garlands, and illuminate it with candles, lanterns, lamps to create a stunning focal point for your wedding. The included power points allow for music during and after the ceremony, providing a perfect ambiance for your guests to relax and enjoy.
The Osbourne Suite
Step inside The Vicarage and discover its grandeur, featuring a stunning Oak hallway and doors crafted by the renowned Yorkshire wood carver, Mousey Thompson, leading to the exquisite Osbourne Suite.
Adorned with a magnificent marble fireplace, intricate cornices, and oak doors, this space captures the charm of a bygone era. Complementing this elegance are the French doors at the room's end, which open onto an extended patio, showcasing breathtaking panoramic views of the grounds down to the's edge and beyond.
An Elopement
We understand that some of you might prefer to slip away into the sunset after an intimate ceremony, which is why we launched our elopement special years ago.
It has been immensely popular among those who wish to avoid the hassle of a large wedding while still creating memorable day that truly belongs to you.
