Welcome to our Marquee pages. As you read this and watch the slideshow we are sure that you will be convinced of how diligently we strive to make your day a very special one.
Perhaps you have provided canapés, bucks fizz or Pimms for your guests while the obligatory photographs have been taken. Perhaps you have taken advantage of the mobile bar we have available. As they wander across the lawn and beside the river a more substantial repast could be being prepared for them within your marquee. Certainly the lawn games such as Croquet or maybe even a bouncy castle for the young and young at heart will have put an edge on their appetites.
As they leave the spacious lawns and stroll down towards the iron bridge they may catch sight of children paddling in the gently meandering river Poulter or, if they are interested in trees, they will be able to observe some of the notable specimens we have within the grounds at Elkesley.
Should you decide on a greeting line, be assured that a short shower will not upset your plans as the entrance to your marquee has a covered approach which provides shelter from the sun as much as from adverse weather.
You choose whether to have flowers to decorate this avenue as you will have already chosen the menu and the drinks whether wines and spirits, beverages or soft drinks. Whatever your choice we are here to help and advise!
Many look at a marquee and see a large tent, but it is far more than this. Within our marquees we only used fully glazed windows, there can be a bar area, a children’s area with television or games console, an area set aside with comfortable seating for those who want to take a back seat away from the dance floor and band or disco and of course the discretely but handily sited washrooms.
After your meal has been served and the speeches made then of course it is time for the entertainment. We ensure that the noise levels are adequate for people to enjoy it but subdued enough for your guest to be able to converse without the need for shouting.
For those who feel romantic of just want to take a little ‘time out’, tables and seating can be provided outside the marquee and they will be able to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of sitting beside the river. Maybe they will just sit and watch the setting sun or enjoy the magical quality of the area as the coloured lights illuminate the grounds.
